Welcome, Thank you for coming to my page. I believe in the saying “Remember that wherever your heart is, there you will find your treasure.” I am lucky to be a part of Kolhapur, where I found treasure of my life, inspired by the work of Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj. I always think and get involved in making Kolhapur a roll model in every respect as done by Shahu Maharaj. As I started my social life in 1991 as a Chairman, Shivaji University Council, I could understand the micro problems which really affect the progress of a person. Then I started thing on big level and started participating in various social issues, this made my confidence level up and since then I took initiative in developing the Kolhapur infrastructure wise as well as upliftment of standard of living of the citizens. I am very much thankful to the Indian National Congress office bearers for giving me an opportunity to work as a minister of states for Home, Rural Development and FDA wherein I could ban on Gutakha for better health of youth; had a lot many decisions during my tenure and enjoyed to work for Maharashtra. At the same time I was having my focus on rejuvenating and maintaining the monuments developed by our Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, which motivated me in getting sanction of funds of Rs. 1150 Crores for the development of Kolhapur. I could get sanction of, much awaiting demand of people of Kolhapur for supply of Pure and Safe Drinking water to Kolhapur from Kalammawadi Dam worth Rs. 425 Crores. While developing our Kolhapur I have always kept in mind to not disturb the pollution free environment we have received from our ancessotors as we have to pass it to our future generations more better than it is now. I request everyone to be a part of this treasure because as said by great auther Paulo Coelho “when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it”.
